Advice before editing this pre-1700 Green profile?

I am working on building the profile one bit at a time.  Do I need permission on every source as I build.  Can't see sources.

Someone was allowed to create a HUGE MESS and I am not ALLOWED to fix it.  Spent all morning on Syntax.

Simply building a timeline.

I have information to contribute to the profile of Lewis Green II. This is what I can add:

These are the sources I am using:

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

A M - I think maybe mixing the use of text for sources in the bio/timeline along with some use of ref tags is what caused the problems earlier. Loretta hopped in and worked on the coding, so the sources should show. If you'd rather not worry about the ref tag coding for sources at this point, let me know when you're done for a bit & I can do coding to get the sources noted in the text to be footnotes (using ref tags).
ps - Just to clarify... no, you don't need any further permissions. I've also added you as a profile manager. Thanks!
Thank you.  Loretta and I have collaborated for quite sometime now.  She is great to work with.
I think I have my sourcing pretty well under control.  Since I did not really rewrite the bios, I did not mess too much with existing sourcing.

I hope I made some sense of it.  I think there is still a lot that is missing.  Unproven connections.  Please look it over and let me know if I need to revisit something.

I was trying to figure-out how to be notified of changes ---trusted list?.  It would be nice if I could create just a watch list.

Thank you again for your help.
Thanks! I'll try to take a look sooner rather than later.

Since you're now a profile manager, the profile will be on your Watchlist and any changes will show up in your Family Activity Feed. Links to both will be in the dropdown menu under "My WikiTree" in the mini-menu at upper right when you're logged in.

The first step should be to work directly with the profile manager.  Wikitree is a collaborative site and the PM is active, so any changes to the profile should be discussed.  Adding reliable sources and building a timeline are always helpful.

Hi! I'm one of the managers & we've been talking. It is a huge mess... merging gone wild was part of the problem, a string of Lewis Greens all naming their kids after each other was another. (I had straightened them out once, but then missed some changes through merges that started - if I recall my second go at trying to straighten them out - with his wife being attached as his mother and his sister as his wife... then I got tangled up and overwhelmed by the whole Grigg - Green mess.)

A M has my blessing for trying to help fix this profile - he's a lineal ancestor for us both. (I haven't heard from Jack about the Greens since the November 2020 merge.)
It is an awful mess and God bless you all for trying to fix it!
