How to switch couples who do not belong together in Wikitree

Can you be more specific?  What do you mean by switching couples? Does someone have the wrong parents?  Were they never a couple?  Is the wrong partner listed in the relationship?

Jonathan Newell (born 1820-1896) was the father of Dewitt Newell and consequently, my great great grandfather.  DeWitt had another mother.

However, Mary J. Clark (1838-1904) was NOT Dewitt Newell's mother, and she was NOT married to Jonathan Newell for many years.  

A person answering me on Ancestry.com ALSO clarified that Jonathan Newell and Mary J. (now Gunsalus) were not married until after 1870.

Ok, you want to have the biological parents listed for Dewitt.  Your saying that Jonathan is correct but you want to change who the mother is.

On the edit tab, of Dewitt, on the right is the edit link for his parents, you can removed his mother using this feature.  You can also use these edit links to adjust the marriage dates as well.

It would be wise to document your reasons why in the bio.

Let me know if you need futher help. Since you are the profile manager you should have no problems making the change.  Otherwise you would need to discuss this with others including those on the Trusted list under the Privacy Tab.

Include your reasoning any and source info you can cite.
