What happened to Thomas and Rose (Dixon) Pierson on September 29, 1722, in Pennsylvania?

+3 votes

I'm trying to sort out what seemed to be a bad merge, but maybe it wasn't. For now I'll leave it sorted.  However, in checking that most everything's logical now, I see that both Thomas Pierson and his wife Rose died on September 29, 1722 in East Caln, Chester, Pennsylvania. Anyone know if that's an error or if something happened on that date to them?

(applies to  http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pierson-242 also, but I couldn't figure out had to list 2 WikiTree IDs in the form field)

Cinflicting information, Hamily of Henry Dixon, www.Quakerksurmanes.net/Dixon says

Rose DIXON (b. 1661, Seagoe, Armagh, Ireland ; d. 29 Sep 1772), East Caln Twp., Chester, PA m. Thomas PIERSON (b. 1653, Pownall Fee, Chester, (Cheshire), England; d. 27 May 1734, Marple, Chester, PA) .

Thomas died 27 May 1734....

On the other hand, A report of his will Written 27 Sep 1722 says he died 29 Sep 1722, two days after making his will.

Thomas was 69, Rose was 61, could have been sickness took them both.

None of the sources I found (Ancestry.com) mentioned an unusual cause of death.

thank you so much for your response - it's very helpful. Would you have any other information from the site you mention (it's a dead link, and quakerksurnames.net &  quakersurnames.net  don't work either). Cheers, Liz
