They best way to find ancestors is to start adding what you know. Parents with birth dates and places. Then Aunts and Uncles, then grandparents. You should add sources, too. The more you add, the more likely you are to come across ancestors who already have profiles here.

We cannot help you find anything unless we have some hints. But we will help.

Good Luck.

Very good advice, Kristina.
That's the problem I don't know anything or even who my father is. My birth certificate has a line clear across where the father's name goes. That's why I did a DNA kit hoping to find something. Thank you for your information though

MaryAnn, it wasn't immediately clear what your question was.

I would still encourage you to add your mother's family to WikiTree (or attach yourself to the line, if it's already here).

WikiTree has an Adoption Angels project, which might be able to help you with your father's line.  Here's the link:  Project: Adoption Angels.  Good luck!
