So, there is a possible error circulating about and I need someone's HELP to set it straight. Nancy Crews who married Olly Crooke Oct 20, 1819 in Madison Co, KY. We need a COMPLETE reading of that marriage. The father of the bride is supposed to be EDWARD CREWS on that record and I cannot find the complete record, only the indexed one. Supposedly, EDWARD signs the bond as well as being listed as FATHER OF THE BRIDE. Instead, Robert Hunnicutt Crews is reported over and over again as Nancy's father and I would very much like to figure out who EDWARD, her real father was.
You can see the image that's linked from the profile at Family Search, it's on p. 133 near the bottom. Kentucky, County Marriages, 1797-1954; https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89S7-9KNT?cc=1804888&wc=QD3Q-4XK%3A1300208801 It just lists the names of the bride and groom. No other information.
If it exists, this is probably where it is: Marriage records 1817-1821. | Kentucky Historical Society (worldcat.org)
I'd be very surprised if this microfilm contains anything other than what's available at FamilySearch or Ancestry, but might be worth writing to the Historical Society and asking. I can't find any other mention of any marriage bonds (other than the occasional one-off in someone's files) in Madison County.
