Why doesn't Peter Estenberg show up in the list of people named Estenberg?

When I use the WikiTree search function to look for people with the last name Estenberg, I get 10 hits. Peter Estenberg, the father of most of the Estenbergs listed, does not appear. Estenberg was not his last name at birth, but it is his current last name. When I search using his first and current last names, I can find him, but I cannot get him to show up on the list of all Estenbergs. Is this the way the search system works?

Add a tag of sysops because they are the ones that need to answer the question.  It is his 'current last name', but not 'Last Name at Birth' but both names should be/

The troubling part is that if you try to add a new person using his name 'Peter Estenberg' and dates, no profiles are shown as a 'close match' which is how we are getting duplicates, possibly.  I changed the Last Name at Birth to 'Persson' to match that profile and that profile does show up IF I am adding an unrelated person, but it should be showing up with the Current Last Name also, I think.

If you only type in a last name, it directs you to that Genealogy page, which only includes last names at birth.

You can click on the "include current last name" link to see people with it as a current name.

If you want to get search results instead of being directed to the Genealogy page, include "*" in the first name field.

Thank you. I'll try those things.
