If you are logged on WikiTree the profiles display differently than if you are not logged on....could that be the reason?

Hi Michael, can you explain a bit further what the differences were? It may be due to you being logged into a WikiTree account, versus what a visitor (not logged into an account) may see.

For example, the tabs at the profile will not be visible for a visitor, private information will not be displayed, etc. Some profiles, depending on their privacy level may be even more restricted or not accessible by visitors.

Michael, I switch between the Safari and Chrome browsers all the time, and I have a WT extension installed on Chrome, so I see differences between the way profiles display.  But the basic data is there either way, and it doesn't change.

If you seem to be seeing different data (dates, relatives, etc.) maybe you can provide an example.  That shouldn't be happening.

Thank you Robin, Steven and Julie for your replies. Julie what is the WT extension you refer to? My colleague and I are both experienced Wikitree members, both logged in as such but the displays differ. The data in each display is the same but is displayed differently. For example, at the top of the biography the person's name has a green background extending across the page, and where there are tabs above the name these are followed by 6 or more small icons offering options. I'm sorry but I can't give more details at the moment as am no longer visiting my colleague to be more specific. He could not explain the differences though.

Sounds like he has Ian's WikiTree Tables extension installed. Well worth the very minimal effort to install, IMO.
Thank you very much Stu - that's it!!

Best wishes, Mike
That's what I have too.  Lots of convenient features.
