Family search App Not Working? [closed]

Question

I cannot log into the Wiki Tree side of the Family search app. it takes my password but never says I'm signed in.

I got it to work but had to switch to using chrome. I guess it doesn't like Firefox

I'm having the same problem with Safari.

If you are on mobile or ipad thats a known bug, use a laptop and should be fine.

Still having the same issue days later. I am using a desktop computer and firefox browser.

Same here, I am on my laptop. Currently logged in to both Wikitree and Familysearch, and I successfully added Familysearch to the app, but it still says "log on to wikitree" no matter how many times I put in my username and password. Using Windows 7 / Firefox

Doesn't work in Firefox nor in Edge on Win10. The network console reveals the "login" action to the wikitree api results in a "Deprecated" result. Maybe the app uses an outdated api?

Update: When I logged in here (demo app) and went to the FS app, I was logged in there, too.

aha. Sometimes it works with Firefox, often not. I will try Chrome....now the Wiki X app looks to be similar, which is better?

I've been having this problem recently too.  After I login to both, I hit my back button and it usually works.  Sometimes I have to login a couple of times, but I still get it to work. BTW, I am using Firefox.

I have four browsers (Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera) and this feature does not work on ANY of them!  I have exactly the same problem as the OP - FamilySearch signs in fine, but Wikitree ignores me every time and just keeps presenting the log in (which never works).

This means that I can never use this feature - it's a real sticky irritating little bug?  Surely some Wikitree techie can fix this - it's rather a ridiculous state of affairs.  (I have only tried this on my iMac, not on any mobile devices.  I assumed it would be foolproof - not so!)

I'm trying to use the app this morning and the Wiki tree side will not log in.

I have no problems signing in with Firefox.
