From reading the posts on this 'question' and the other one on g2g it sounds as if people are getting different screens when they use FamilySearch.

I have not had the opportunity to use the new FS much yet, but on the screen I am getting for searching records, I found that by clicking on "More Options" next to the Search button, I got virtually the same page as on the old FS -- it looks different but asks for all of the same parameters as I completed on the old searches -- Life events (B,M,D, residence), Family Members (spouse, father, mother, other person), and Record Options (location, type, batch number, film number).

I just tried RootsSearch on a few profiles and it seems to be working still.

I use RootSearch on a daily basis-- and almost solely to access FamilySearch. It's still working.

The only change I've seen is that once on FS, I frequently have to hit the reload button to get the search results to display. This is using Chrome on a macbook air.

I also notice that census search results that SHOULD be listed are not, and I often have to go into a specific census and do a separate search. This is not always the case but often is the case.

I've noticed that with census records, and found that removing the last name of the mother makes the census records appear.
Jillaine, the search form does have many of the same fields but it doesn't give the same results.

The results are almost always BMDs and sometimes burial records, to get the census results they seem have to be searched for separately.

Personally, I don't like the new format over at FS.  I don't think I'm finding as much information as before, I feel like it's more restrictive.
