Flate Davis in 1900 Census.Census takers wrote down what they thought they heard

As in many cases the people they took the info from could not read or write or spell.

If you look at original Census Document.it looks like Flate,

Harvey Lee Davis ,in 1870 census is documented as Lee Davis.

If you want earlier records on Davis,Mcmullen,Fain, i have them.
