Profile contribution v. all contributions

After wading through the menus, I don't see a count of Profiles I contributed, as distinct from Contributions I have made. The latter gets "distorted" by improvements and corrections. It didn't help when I discovered I had misspelled a town name for about 40 distant relatives. :-(

You can use WikiTree+ to list the profiles you have created, but not including any profiles for living people who have Unlisted privacy. Here is the query (just press the blue "Get profiles" button to run it) - https://wikitree.sdms.si/default.htm?report=srch1&Query=CreatedBy%3DCreator_Fraser-10494&MaxProfiles=500.

Paul, the query makes sense, but returns 177 profile created by me. I have about 441 matches in the GEDCOMpare file of 1436 that I'm working through, and only about 60 of them were matches to preexisting Profiles. Something is off.

I can think of a couple of things that may explain at least some of the difference:

1. WikiTree+ uses a data extract that is taken once a week, not the live data. The date of the data extract is displayed at the bottom of each page of the report - at the moment it is using the data from 26 September, so it won't yet include any profiles you have created in the last week.

2. The data extract used by WikiTree+ doesn't include any Unlisted profiles, so you would need to count those from your Watchlist. You can sort your Watchlist by privacy level by clicking on the black padlock in the heading of the last column (clicking it once will put all the Unlisted ones at the bottom of the list, clicking it again will put them at the top).

Hi John.  Right, there's no count of profiles created by each member, but you should be able to get a pretty close approximation by looking at your watchlist.  If you have orphaned any profile, you'll need to remember to add that back, and you'll have to make up your own policy for how to count a merge (half a profile perhaps?).

Dennis, that seems about right, I have 282 Profiles on my watch list, which approximately makes sense in terms of the discrepancy concerns I replied to Paul Masini.
