Advice before editing this pre-1700 Knudsen profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Anders Knudsen. This is what I can add:

  • 1709 22th Sunday after Trinitatis Was Anders Knudsen in Morsholt and Karen Nielsdatter of Fillerup Copulated

These are the sources I am using:

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

I adopted Anders Knudsen's profile two days ago, plus several of his descendants.  All the profiles were created by another member a number of years ago but were unsourced.  All the individuals fit in my family's bloodline but given the stringent sourcing requirements of pre-1700 profiles, I think it may be above my current skill level to do the profiles justice.  Before I decide to release the profiles back to the wild for further re-adoption, would anyone be kind enough to assist me in providing some valid sources?  I believe the one source I have found for his marriage to Karen Nielsdatter is a valid source but it is the only source I've found thus far.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

That group is a rat nest. There seem to be some same name mixup of unrelated persons and other guesswork. To untangle you need both the church records, probates, tenant contracts and Tingbog (don't know what that is in english).

If you want I can have a go at them - but it will take some time.

Thank you Hanne.  Good description cause that's what the hand writings look like.  I'm getting better at deciphering but I'll never be that good.  Looks like I've got more research to do as I've never heard of tenant contracts or the Tingbog.  Google's common definition says it is a land register.  Anything you have to offer on your time, would be appreciated but not expected Hanne.  I have one source that I can check on Probates so I will check there.

Thank you for the source edit for Anders Knudsen.  I'm paging through the 1655-1803 churchbooks for Odder and found an entry that I believe says 'Anders Knudsen born in Morsholt' but I cannot read the name at the end. Would you be able to decipher for me?  illegible name at the end

According to the original person who created the daughter's profile (Kirsten Andersdatter, Andersdatter-760), she was born in 1699 in Odder sogn.  It is the second entry under Anno 1699 Fødde, top of the left hand side of the page.  Thanking you in advance.

PS She was supposedly christened on 23 Feb 1699.

Correct - 1699 d 23 Febr Anders Knudsens Barn i Morsholt Kirsten

I don't know what happend to her (only several Kirsten Andersdatter that is not her) Only thing certain is that she have no living decendants in 1784 when sister Anne dies. And she is not the Kirsten dead 1761 that you can find on the internet trees (probate for her)
Oh Hanne, thank you!  I just clicked on Anne's profile and found your updates to her profile.  You are awesome and it seems thanks is not enough for your gracious time and research.  And to think I was happy just finding one birth/christening record, lol.  I'm sure you've given me a link to the probates records before but may I ask again?  I've used FamilySearch and https://www.faesterogskifter.dk/Default.aspx, no luck in finding the same information in either.

For probates Erik Brejl page is very good.
