Thank you all for your time.
My question is in regards to a brick wall and out of ideas.
My g-g-grandfather, William Jasper Jackson (b. 1830-Ga., d. 1878-Ark) was raised by the Jackson descendants of George Edward Jackson (wives: Charity Hill and Mary Hall), namely, George's son, David Jackson.
We have no record of who was Wm. Jasper Jackson's mother or father. We read in old letters that "He was raised by his mother's people, the Jacksons; he had no lawful father; he was orphan).
The problem is we have very few links to the descendants of George Edward Jackson, and what we do have is extremely faint. Beginning to think he was not a Jackson at all.
I have no clue how to proceed in finding who his actual parents were. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks so much for reading.
