How can I add a possibly non related notable

+4 votes
In researching my Gibsons and Stewarts from Tennessee, found Alexander Stewart b 1891 Newmans Ridge, Tennessee died 1985 same.

He was an internationally known craftsman and  recognized by the National Endowment of the Arts. Also Maxey's in the area and interested in finding if he ties into my family at all.

Wondered if/how I can add him and fill in branches to see where they go? Or do I have to find a connection first?

Thank you

WikiTree has several Alexander Stewarts, mostly without dates or locations.  It's possible one of them is your man.  That said, David's answer, below, is how to add an unrelated person.

Add away.  smiley

Hi Sherry,

In the top right hand corner of your screen you should see an 'Add' button next to the 'My WikiTree' button. Click on it or hover over it  and then click on where it says 'New Person' in bold letters. From there just create a profile for Alexander just like you would any other.
