I have added the Virginia tag. You might want to indicate the sources and information you have in mind.

George Brewer's profile needs a lot of help, and there are several comments that his parents are completely undocumented.  What changes would you like to make, and what documentation do you have to share?

The problem is not "documentation" (which largely simply doesn't exist); rather, the problem is decades old published "research" which was largely based on supposition and guesswork, and is unfortunately simply WRONG, and this "research" unfortunately keeps getting endlessly propagated around the internet (even here). Ben Brewer's research was badly flawed and inaccurate in many respects. So I cannot add much documentation, but I can show where there is none. But how does one "show" something which doesn't exist? This therefore HAS to be taken on FAITH. One truly does have no choice but to believe and accept that myself and several other CAREFUL researchers have scoured the records for Brunswick County Virginia and vicinity for this time period, and no parentage, no marriage date, and no birth dates can be located. Is that worse than perpetuating errors?

Lastly, I myself unfortunately work full time as a long distance truck driver, and am constantly driving. Literally. I thus have practically zero time any more for the genealogical research I once did in spades. I barely even have the time to reply here.
If there isn’t any documentation to support parents, they should be detached and the situation described in the  biography.   “Faith” is not genealogical proof.
Exactly the point I was trying to make. Yes. Thank you. And removing the parents was exactly what I was trying to do. Only that, and nothing more.
