Can you recommend how to unfollow tags that I was previously following?

I deleted a few tags I was following, but then realized I would just like to temporarily unfollow them and keep the info I had written about them for future reference.  Is this something anyone else does?  Is it possible for an Unfollow button for temporarily ignoring certain tags?

You can modify your followed tags at Special:Following. Unfortunately, there is not a way to temporarily unfollow or mute the feeds generated from a following a tag.

If you would rather disable the daily Genealogy Feed that has tag activity, you can change your preferences at Special:Settings.
