I'm a newbie and I don't think my previous DNA test transferred over or do I somehow upload it?

For my DNA, I wanted to transfer over my previous DNA test from 23andme.  But it doesn't seem like anything came through.  Is it because Wikitree has me listed under my maiden name and 23andme has me listed under my married name?

Or did I not do somrhing I needed to do?

Thank you, Marsha Gil Casillas

Hi Marsha,  We are glad you joined us.  You won't actually upload your DNA test results to your WikiTree profile.  You will just enter information about your test such as what company you used and what type of test you took.

You might want the try the free transfer of your 23andme test to the big FTDNA database.  You would use the raw data file from 23and me for that transfer.

Kitty, may I please jump on the bandwagon with this question by Marsha. I seem to have just the same issue (I think) but mine is with MyHeritage DNA. Could you please check my profile if the DNA test is listed?

Thanks Kitty. Marsha sorry for barging in on your question...

Dear George,  Your autosomal DNA test will appear on the profiles for these ancestors:  https://www.wikitree.com/treewidget/Hundeshagen-2/10

If you entered new profiles today, your test will appear on the profile tomorrow.  The DNA test info is added to new profiles during the nightly indexing program.  Check the next day and the info should show on a new ancestor profile.
