Notable British Artist Louis William Wain (1860 - 1939) and his Cats

A very intriguing artist and fascinating family with a interesting story. I noticed he needs further connecting. It appears his siblings all sisters never married. Why? He married his sisters governess much older than himself but she died 3 years into the marriage. He had no children? It would be wonderful to connect him further.

From reading some of the families history it is supposed that the family suffered with mental illness and that all sisters had some issues.  As well as staying with their mother when their father passed and  Louis' violence towards them.  

It doesn't seem to say much about the father and his possible issues in illness and behaviour which sometimes keeps families to themselves.  

As you say the family is very interesting and very sad.  I wonder if he had uncles/aunts?
