Are we supposed to only enter DNA family? What is the standard for adopted family members?

My father was adopted and has no interest in finding his birth family.  I have quite a bit of information from his adoptive family tree, but we're not genetically related to them.  What is the standard for that here?

You are welcome to add profiles for anyone that you can document whether they are biologically related to or not. You can add your father's adoptive parents and mark them non-biological, then carry out their lines as far as you care to go.

You may find this help page useful:

If you have additional questions, you can contact the Adoption Angels. There's a link to their project page at the bottom of this help page. You can also add the adoption tag to your post to get the attention of members with experience in this area.

Hope that helps.
