Is Levi Carr *not* the son of Caleb Carr Jr?

Searching for Revolutionary War service sources, I looked on the DAR genealogy research site, and on Caleb Carr Sr's entry at https://services.dar.org/Public/DAR_Research/search_adb/?action=full&p_id=A019568 found this caution: "ALSO FAMP/C, EL-JOHN AND LEVI CARR ARE NOT GRANDSONS OF THIS PATRIOT." I started looking at all my sources on Levi Carr, while Find A Grave shows him as Caleb Jr's son, hence Caleb Sr's grandson, The Sprague Project does not show parents for Levi, nor children for Caleb Carr Jr. Searching for additional sources just brought me back around to Find A Grave. Does anyone know what has led the DAR to question Levi Carr's parentage? I would detach him from Caleb Jr and Margaret Adams Carr on WikiTree if he doesn't belong there, but I would first like to know what the doubts are! Levi is my 5th Great Grandfather, evidence very solid, but now shaky back beyond him!

By the way, Levi Carr has his own DAR record as Ancestor # A019618.

Have looked at all kinds of possible alternative parents, and, after finding a source I hadn't seen, Arthur Adkins Carr's The Carr Book", I am convinced that Levi is indeed the eldest son of Caleb Carr Jr and Margaret Adams Carr. I've added the material from that source to the sources section in Levi's profile and explained why I am accepting this parentage, even if the DAR doubts it.
