Hi, I am trying to find out where my Great grandmother and Grandfather came from or where they were born.

My Grandmothers name was Elizabeth Susan Sawyer, she was born in Jamestown, Saint Helena on the 17 March 1866.  Her father was John Sawyer and her mother Margaret Sawyer.

She was Baptised at St James's Church, Jamestown. Saint Helena on 19 June 1868. Witnesses were Rebecca Thomas and Wiliam Thomas.

She married Albert Henry Gough and had six children, he died 1900, she then married James Smith Cumming in 1903 and had four more children Elizabeth Susan passed away in 1952.

Please could anyone help me.

I have "Sawyer" in my family (Sawyer-1996). Strangely my Grandfather had a piece of old lava, from St. Helena.

Hi, Is your Sawyer family from St Helena.  I have got a copy of my Grandmothers Baptism Certificate and it has her father as John Sawyer and her mother as Margaret.  I have searched and she could have been the only child.  Have you got some Sawyers entered into your family tree if so my I have a look at your tree.
