Searching for the parents of Dr. William Alexander Murchison, 1809-1866, and Col. John McRae Murchison, 1811-1862. They were born in Cumberland County, North Carolina, Moved to Madison County, Tennessee for a short while and then to Houson County, Texas, where they lived and died. The matter is made complicated by numerous Murchisons having the same first names.
