The folk who work on "lost" profiles from gedcom imports may wish to look at it to see if he can be reunited with his family.
It is difficult when there is no location or dates.  There is a profile for Walter Kibble 1859 - with family and sources on Geni.com
is it same one though, i have Walter Kibble's in my family but not sure if it is him
Is there any way to still “see” the original ged.com that it came from? Or, perhaps to see if any others with that surname were imported by the same person?
I am not sure but I do not think so.

If you go to the profile and click on changes you will see the initial entry which gives a Gedcom link. When I click on that it says the Gedcom file has been removed.

On the profile, under acknowledgments, there is a link to a Rachel Wilson who is attributed with the Gedcom upload. The link for Rachel takes you to a Private profile - Stephenson-1194. Messaging that person about it would seem to be the next best step?

I have done that. thanks

I had assumed because it said, "To ask a question, send a private message to the profile manager, Closed Accounts WikiTree." that Rachel was no longer on Wikitree...

Hi, Stephen --

When there has never been any information on a profile -- i.e., no dates or locations; no family connections -- as well no change log that can help you identify a family, you can do a search at a repository like FamilySearch to find a person by the same name and source the profile using that information.

The person who imported this profile has a closed account now, so there's really no way to get information from the original contributor.

I've gone ahead and added information to this profile based on a census record I found for a person with the same name. Anyone can pick this up and flesh out this profile using the information that's now there.

Thanks!

Understnd what you have done cannot say I actually agree with this as my Kibble's for instance are born in England and not USA. However I do understand  why you have added the source that you have
Stephen -- since we don't know which Walter Kibble this profile was originally intended to represent, I took this action to give an example of how a profile like this can be handled.

You can now create a fresh profile for your Walter Kibble. :-)
As I said I understand your actions and I know I can create a profile for my Walter if I choose to do so.
