Hi Everybody. I am a new kid on the block. Great to be here.
Here's one of my toughest nuts to crack.
Looking for my Mary McKellin born Fawcett, Nov. 1833 Ireland
It was indicated in census that both of her parents were also from Ireland.
She also said she had 17 children with only four living in 1900. Immigrated in 1881.
Husband Henry McKellin, b. Oct. 1832, Ireland ( family lore says Belfast, no documentation but I found a married daughter at 11 Gargamoyle ST, Belfast in 1880).
Looking for Henry too. His full name may be William Henry McKellin because that is a family tradition for five generatiosn.
They may have lived in Dundee Scotland for a short period but I have no proof.
Grandpa W.H. MCKellin referred to her as his "French drinking Grandmother" Grandpa was a tea tottler. I have read that Fawcetts were Quakers and/ or French Hugenots.
Would love to solve my Mary Mystery . Who are her parents and from where in Ireland?
Here is what I have for them in Paterson, NJ.
