Possible save bug

I made a couple of edits to the text of a profile and either WikiTree autosaved a draft or I may have manually saved, I don't remember. I left it open for awhile, edited some other profiles, and went back to it. The message "your draft is fully saved and up to date" was there. I clicked the Compare Draft link and got the message that there was no draft to compare, even though the edit box had the orange border. The full save button was grayed out. When I tried to close the browser window, I got the message that my changes had not been saved.

I closed it anyway (after copying the entire text to the clipboard), and then reopened the profile. All the changes I had made were there.

I encountered the same inability to "full save" (greyed out) while working on Armstrong-13471.
I have had that problem too.  I've seen others mention elsewhere that what you need to do, if the full save is grayed, is make one more edit.  I usually find the end of a paragraph and type an extra space there (which has no effect other than to enable the full save).

Interesting. Do you know approximately how long you had left the edit page open? Was it 5 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour?

Quite awhile, maybe a couple of hours.
Has this happened to you again recently or was this a one-time bug?
I have not seen it again.

I've had this happen.   Sometimes an easy work around is to add a carriage return (or two) above  == Sources ==
This can happen when you make a very minor change like setting a word to bold or Italics.

Hi Darryl, what browser and device are you using?
I switched from Firefox to Chrome a few months ago.  I think I experienced the problem with both. On a Windows10 PC
