A Belle Époque/Прекрасная эпоха Challenge: V.V. Kandinsky (1866-1944)

Question

Following on from the discussion here, let's try what Bernard Vatant has denominated a 'five-star challenge': can we connect the abstract painter and art theorist Vasily Vasilievich Kandinsky (1866-1944) to the Global Tree?  Currently he exists in isolation with no relatives of any kind, but - just to start things off - it's well-known that he was a cousin of the psychiatrist Viktor Khrisanfovich Kandinsky (1849-1889) and uncle of the philosopher Aleksandr Vladimirovich Kozhevnikov (1902-1968).

Let's crack on!

Update: Vladimir Sergeevich Barshev (1854-1906), the step-father of Kandinsky's sister-in-law and son of Professor Sergei Ivanovich Barshev (not yet added), is looking a likely candidate for a channel through to the main tree . . . .

Update: I've identified Kandinsky's father-in-law, Nikolai Aleksandrovich Andreevsky (1865-1904), who seems to be unknown to the existing scholarship on the artist, but have yet to be able to make any further connections through him or his wife Olga Platonovna (1872-after 1935).  Suggestions welcome!

Thanks, Ann!  I hadn't realised there was an online version of Baraev's Kandinsky genealogy (I don't have access to the physical book), so this is a nice boost to the project.
