Why are parents names in bio. [[Beebe-414|William Beebe, Sr.]] not going directly to profiles when I click on them?

Parents names are coming up red on the biography and when you click on their names it takes you to: View source and reads:  The action you have requested is limited to users in the group Supervisors.  Return to Main Page.  When you click on that it sends you back to the login page, but I'm already loged in.  I thought red items came up only if, names or free spaces were entered without having anything else in profile.  Never, had one come up like this.  Please, don't just correct it and not tell me what I did wrong.  Am working on profile improvement so do not want to duplicate this problem again.  In other words, what did I do wrong and how do I fix this?  Thanks!  Confused.  Barbara Jean

Hi Barbara,

You did not write the link in the profile in the same style you used in your question.  The links in the profile are trying to go to the editing pages for WikiTree IDs that do not exist because there is no ID number.  Your link wants to go to "Beebe-".  and "Keeney-".  If you make them "Beebe-233" and "Keeney-64" they should work correctly.

Gaile,  Thanks alot!  Some of the times I suffer from brain fog.  Most of you probably, have no idea of what I'm referring to.  Put another way brain overloads and trys too hard or makes things more difficult than they really are.  A proffessor in college taught me two valuable things. 1)  "Well, never say never.  Well hardly ever!"  2) Concept of KISS:  "Keep It Simple Stupid".  Another contributing factor could be lack of sleep that caused me to add a stupid (#) sign in front of the ID number.  Go ahead lol I know at this hour you want to.  Once again Gaile, I really appreciate you.
