How can you tell number of indivuals in your tree? I do not believe it is the same as contributions.

That depends on your definition of "your tree". On your Watchlist page, you can see how many profiles are on your Watchlist. That includes any profiles you're on the trusted list for, even if they aren't related to you.

That shows the indivuals but I do not see a total number given.

Oh, I think I know why. I bet that it doesn't show the number if you have less than 500 people on your Watchlist.

On my Watchlist, it says at the top "Viewing 500 of 1343 profiles on Watchlist.", but on yours, because it's only one page, that line is missing.

You have 121 people on your Watchlist.

You did not need to take the trouble to count all of them. I'll probably never reach 500. I guess I can ask you to count them again. LOL

Seems the real point of Wikitree is to only have "one tree": that is, the ultimate goal would be for all of the contributions to blend together with the appropriate merges and research needed.

So, we could actually say, the total active profiles that are not duplicates (if there were no duplicates) would be the number of folks in "your tree".

I like how the question morphed into watch lists: but generally, the number of active profiles on Wikitree may be an interesting number to know overall.

True, but people will always be more interested in their chunk of the tree than the rest of the huge, world tree. :)

FYI, there are currently 4,375,954 profiles on WikiTree. That does include duplicates, because we have no way of knowing how many of those there are.
