Can find no evidence that either one are deceased.    Last residence listed was 1940 census in Ward 3, Martinsville, Martinsville City, Martinsville City, Virginia, United States. If you check the white pages on the internet search engines there is a Royal B Shorter Jr listed over 65 yrs of age. Listed in 2 different places Addresses and phone numbers given. Hope this help you
