I am looking for a man by the name of Leondard Van Buren.

He was the supposed uncle of Martin Van Buren and also of Sarah Vischer Schuyler Hoyle.

He was a major during the American Revolution and for a time was held prisioner in NY. He escaped inprisonment around July of 1779.

Trying to locate his family and have had no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.
