Do you need research help in the Eastern Minnesota, Western Wisconsin areas?

I am a retired historian, museum curator and archivist for the Washington County Historical Society. Washington County, Minnesota, including the cities of Stillwater, Woodbury, Marine on St Croix, Afton, Lakeland, Minnesota. Also the cities of New Richmond, Somerset, River Falls and Hudson, Wisconsin. I am very familiar with the history and sources of information for these areas. I am happy to assist with research for Washington County, Eastern Minnesota & St. Croix County, Western Wisconsin. I can assist with research visits to local archives, cemetery look ups and cemetery visits for photography and local histories look ups. Hi I could use some help with Wisconsin in general. I am trying to figure out my DNA Native American. I am pretty sure part of it is the first people of Canada.

The surname is Revoir

How far back do I need to go to trace this?

Great Great Grandfather is listed as;

Isaie Rivard Revoir 

Birth 27 Jan 1843 in St. Leon, 1654520, Quebec, Canada

Death 1900 in Oconto, Oconto, Wisconsin

 

His mother's side, Menting, all come out of the Netherlands. If that info will help too I will send.
