This week's Collaborative Profile is Jacob Bernoulli, Swiss Mathematician.

1+1+1+1 = a whole lot of collaboration.

Wife?  Children ? Siblings? Certainly he had a mother or has her name been lost?

There were a lot of related Bernoulli's who were mathematicians. Bernoulli's Principle belongs to a different Bernoulli. How are they all related?

Why does he have a globe in his picture? Just because he's bright?

As you start to research something, please add an answer here. That way the question will continue to be seen during the week. Thank you.

Also, if your not pre-1700 certified and would like to add something, send me a message. I'll be happy to be the go between.

Great opening message, Anne. Thanks!
On the main home page http://www.wikitree.com/ there is now a clear "Join our collaboration" invitation. Maybe that will help attract new contributors.
Thank you. Always nice to have new contributors.

From Bernoulli family at Wikipedia.

Jacob Bernoulli had two brothers, Nicholaus (1662-1716) and Johann (1667-1748).

The parents are Niklaus Bernoulli and Margarethe Schonauer.

I'm going to add some family members (thank you Frank) to Jacob and put a little flesh on the existing family members.
