Thaxted parish registers seem to have a century difference between the baptism and marriage records with baptism records being far earlier than the marriage records. Marriage records seem to begin only with 1783 which might give marriage of Robert Barnard and Anne before the birth of the child in 1791. It would be good to find out the status of the earlier marriage records. . . were they lost, unpublished or what?
