Can the changes section be retained on edit LNAB [closed]

When a profile is edited to change the LNAB (typically the maiden is found for a married woman) a new profile is made and a redirect is done from the old profile to the new.  This means the history of the research and changes is lost, unless there is a way to get tot he old profile which I have missed.

Thank you Melanie.  I should just ask you direct when I have a question, you answer all my queries.

The "recreated" link is the first (oldest, i.e. at the bottom) of the changes on the new profile.  This gives a list of the old profile as it was when the new one was created., it does not give the history of the changes, who made them, and when, but there is a link to the changes log of the old profile at the top of the page.  This has the profile id as the link text, but it does go to the changes section and does not get redirected.  I should have known there would be a way to get this.  Thank you again.
I probably should have included the other link as well, just for those who come along later with the same (or similar) question.

So, for those reading along -- https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:NetworkFeed&who=Cooper-34276
That's why I added my reply. Having explored the links now, instead of just assuming I knew what they did, I added that, not for you, but for any others who might have the same question later.

It's surprising what you can learn reading through old questions, especially when there is a good discussion amongst those with experience.

For those who come along later -- the same thing can be done for merged profiles.  Just look for the change-log entry that says x merged name into name, where "merged" will be a link to the merged away profile.  (I don't say "original", because in the case of a profile that has undergone more than one merge, there may be more than one change log to find and follow.)
