How to find list of Palantine ships and passengers

I'm finding it hard to locate the resources sections.   I'm looking for the lists of ships that arrived in Philadelphia during the 1700s with the list of their passengers.   I stumble across it at times, but can't find it in either Categories or Resources.   Help!

The Palatine Ships category will connect you to the books that list ships and passengers. I recommend the Strassburger book.

WikiTree doesn't host research resources, We rely on second parties, like free resources from Family Search, and paid sources, like Ancestry, and many others.  We document our profiles, using these second party sources, properly cited.  There are many free space pages, on WikiTree, devoted to connecting members with sources. on other sites.  Sadly, accessing these resources is not simple or easy.

Ellen's answer will connect you with one of the many, opaque, resources, that exist, on our tree.

Judy's quest may have been affected by uncertainty about the spelling of Palatine. Computers can be very picky about details like spelling, and unfortunately WikiTree does not have a mechanism for redirecting users who enter a category  or free-space-page URL with slightly different spelling, word order, or punctuation than the actual URL. (I often am frustrated when I don't find a page or category at the address I expected it to have.)

One way to find a category is to start at Category:Categories and drill down through the parent categories where it might be expected to be. That often works for me. A more sophisticated approach is to use the Category Navigator on WikiTree+. (There are links on the top of category pages). For example: https://wikitree.sdms.si/function/WTWebCategoryNavigate/Category.htm?category=German%20Roots

There is now a free-space-page search function on WikiTree+. For example, try https://wikitree.sdms.si/default.htm?report=srch7&Query=Palatine (scroll down that page to get to the "Find Pages" button in the left column). It can be tricky to learn some of these search functions, and it is still necessary to know the "correct" spelling of the starting search terms.

Ellen, You are absolutely correct.   The spelling error was the issue.   There are lots of mispellings of Palatine, particularly the "Palantine" version.   I even found a Palantine category with enrollees (myself among the 4).   Is there anyway to correct the mispelled category labels and combine all into one?   Probably not, just wondering.   I appreciate your taking the time to respond and find that correctable error.   At least I can now quickly get to the Palatine resource.

Gratefull,

Here’s a link to the Palatine Migration Project resources page:  [[Space:Palatine_Migration_Research_Resources|Palatine Migration Research Resources]]

Most projects have similar pages.
