s'ok. I'd suggest merging all the Richard Benning/Bennynges: Either Bennynges into Benning or the other way round. I think first you'd have to correct them all to be male, and to do that you'd have to remove the "female" ones from their spouse(s). Then Bennynge-2 into Bennynge-1; then Bennynge-1 & Benning-2 could merge (either way).
As far as I can tell by the changes pages, Alice Lynch (
http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lynch-78 ) and Valerie Koutek (
http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Koutek-1 ) both uploaded a gedcom that had Richard Bennynge as a female born in 1495, daughter of Richard Benning and Richard Bennynge. Alice's gedcom looks like it also had a Richard Benning b 1490 and son of Richard Benning and Richard Bennynge. In short, it looks as if the gedcoms uploaded bad data.
Janice Hardin didn't show any parents for Joan (Benning-1). Aaron Stubbs added a note to Benning-2: "I show Richard as born in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England. Spelling is sometimes given as Bennynge. " I don't think either Janice or Aaron are still active in WikiTree.
If you think merging them all is a good idea and you'd like some help, let me know. I'm going to be away from the computer a few hours, but I should be back on tonight.
Cheers, Liz
