According to their bios, Joseph Walton and Deborah Gilbert were married in Quebec about 1807.  They apparently lived in either Brome or Mississquoi, as part of a group of Loyalists who had moved across the border from Vermont after the Revolutionary War.  The couple had three daughters, Rebecca ("born in Canada East, June 6, 1811"), Olive, and Lydia, before they left the area and moved to Ohio about 1813.  They may have been C of E rather than Roman Catholic.

WikiTree profile: Joseph Walton
closed with the note: Found the actual record, they were married in Franklin, Vermont.
