Has anyone done research which may have cross-referenced my great grandfather, George William Grief, or his family (parents, siblings, spouse, etc.)? One of his sons was my grandfather, Eric Reginald Grief, who was born in 1901; my grandfather had two brothers, Walter and George, and one sister, Dorothy. They lived in West Norfolk and South Lincolnshire.

George W. Grief is 3 years old in the 1881 England and Wales Census.

Father is Charles R. 42, his wife is Susan age 35. Children are Lucy age 12, Elizabeth at 8, George, and John T. who is 1. All of the siblings were born at the same location. Each parent was born at a different location, but still in Norfolk.

PS My ggg grandfather was also b. Norfolk, England.

George was my great Uncle. The John T mentioned in 1881 census at one year old was my Grandfather. George William was killed in WW1 at Salonika in 1917 and his name together with his cousin Henry, is on the war memorial at Dersingham.

I have much more on the Grief family if you are interested.  Olive
