Updated for the reason of not specific enough.

I am looking for info on the parents and siblings of Franklin Lasley (b.abt 1824-1826).

Things Known:

The earliest record I can find on him is in 1870 in Anderson,Tennessee with brother James Washington Lasley (b.abt 1822-1824). I have followed his brother James Washington Lasley through records and have been unable to find him as well pre 1870.

I do not know if Franklin was from NC or VA. I have found him on the 1870 and 1880 census record. On one he states born in NC, and the other VA. In the 1900 census record I found his wife, where she is widowed. Though I have been unable to find a will, or any burial info on Franklin.

Franklin also had a son named after his brother James Washington Lasley (b.1875) not to be confused with his brother James.

You could best make profiles for all of those people on the 1880 census and then follow them up and down in time and maybe some more information will show.  Often people appear in their childrens' households after seemingly being disappeared for a few decades and not on census records.
I encourage you to create a profile for brother James and his family as well.

I found a death record for one of the sons of James W Lasley. It indicates that his parents were born in North Carolina. Ancestry.com subscription needed:

Note that this James Washington Lasley is son not brother of Franklin. But it does support the theory that Franklin living in house with James W in 1870 was a brother.

It also suggests the reuse of a family name. I did find an earlier (1-2 generations earlier) James Washington Lasley or Lashley in North Carolina... Clues to add to your evidence box.
