DNA connection to Thomas Duty-Martha Romans, North Carolina ca 1810

My Ancestry DNA results said I'm 97%  White and 3% African. Cross-referencing other users, the name Duty and Roman kept coming up as matches with my tree. In 1809 Martha Duty put out an ad for runaway slaves. In 1811 her and Thomas Duty (Sr.) were charged with murder of an infant. In 1810 census Thomas Duty has 1 slave an nobody else living with him. Has anyone else related to these Dutys had African genes come up? I'm fairly convinced that at least part of my genes come from this line somewhere.
