What evidence is there for Benjamin Carr's parents?

Benjamin, b. 1592 in London, appears in several Carr family histories (see: https://archive.org/stream/carrfamilyrecor00carrgoog#page/n21/mode/2up). On WikiTree, he is connected to a father William Kerr-2106, styled 10th Baron of Fennehurst. In addition, through the Kerr family, Benjamin shows multiple Magna Carta and royal lines.

This would make Benjamin's children, including the well researched Rhode Island Governor Caleb Carr-182, Gateway Ancestors.

Do we have any evidence to support this connection?

The first part of that "history" is a work of pure fiction.  The parents may not be the only Questionable things here.
I am descended from Benjamin and have never found anything proving his parents, lots of made up conjectures though.

The family of Ker of Ferniehirst are mentioned in The Scots Peerage, Volume 5, under Ker, Lord Jedburgh, pp. 49-80, which can be found online here https://archive.org/stream/scotspeeragefoun05paul#page/80/mode/2up

There is a William Ker alias Kirkaldy, the son of Thomas Ker of Ferniehirst (they don't seem to have held the title of Baron) but he was married to Elizabeth Lyon, not Mary Ann Clifford, and there is no mention of a son Benjamin.

Based on that source, I would say that Benjamin Carr, isn't closely related to the Ker family of Ferniehirst, if he is related at all.  There seem to be quite a few errors in what is currently on Wikitree in relation to this family, compared to Scots Peerage.

Thank you, John. That is very helpful information on Benjamin Carr and the Scots.

I had noticed about 5 generations in a row of Kirkaldys who had birth/death dates that were impossible. They were all in the Clans project so I've connected with them to get them sorted out.
I find this information very helpful as well. I have been trying to research this family as it is my fathers side's family.
