I have a ref d5 who appears to be the same person as b3c8d4. d5 only shows e1 which corresponds with b3c8d4 and e1. From the latter follows E2 (e3), E3 (e5) and so on until I get to my grandfather born 1881 his ref f9 i.e. b3c8d4f9 if I understand it correctly. I also have inbetween these G and g  and more than one set all following on from b3c8d4. I am trying to go back from b3c8d4f9 to the beginning, I assume a. D5 is from De Villiers/Pama the other on from Cilliers.

Hi.... I hope we are able to help you.

Forgive me, but I was unable to match those numbers up with any of the identifying features of people-profiles here on WikiTree.  In fact, I was unable to find anything online anywhere that related to genealogy using those numbers.

Would you like help finding information about a particular individual such as your 5th great-grandfather?  If so: you should include his name as completely as you know it, approximate year and place of birth, his wife's name if possible... any bit helps the searchers.

It sounds like you have already found quite a bit of information...you should share it by joining WikiTree and making profiles to honor your ancestors!
