Does anyone know any information about F.C. Manuel (probably Freeman Clark)?

I cannot find any references to who F.C's parents were, where he came from, or when and where he died/ was buried.  I know he lived in Walker County, Alabama during his lifetime.  He possibly came from Perry County, Alabama, but I have not been able to confirm this.

Did not find an answer to your question in spite of several attempts at  familysearch.org

Possibly some details of  the following info on his son, George, will be of  use:

Thank you for this information and I appreciate your time.  However, two of these people are the wrong race and the other one is too young to be my Freeman Manuel.  My Freeman was old enough to be in the Civil War in 1861.
Freeman Clark Lowell was born in 1874 and died in 1940
