Is the United States Project still accepting new members? [closed]

I asked to become a member of the United States Project almost two weeks ago.  A number of others have also.  If the project is no longer active then I understand.  There is no way to tag answers that I know of so maybe they have been overlooked.  I certainly understand how busy it is around here.  Thank you.

I asked over a year ago. I wondered if I wasn't doing something I needed to so added a comment to Ellen's initial G2G post last August, still nothing. I sent her a PM Feb. 5 through her profile page after looking to see if she's active. No reply. I checked her activity today and she is a busy beaver, indeed, way over 25 profile contributions so far today. The US project covers a lot of territory and people so maybe she needs some helpers to join her.
Thank you Connie. They should post that they don’t need members if that is the case. I’ve been working very hard on sourcing in the Texas project which is part of the US project. For some reason they didn’t give me the badge either which they say they do on their page. I’m very frustrated right now.

Hi Connie, if you are still interested in joining the United States project, please reply to the new G2G post or send me a PM.  I've just joined the project as a co-leader.

Keep in mind the United States Project is probably the single largest umbrella project in WikiTree encompassing 50 state projects and probably at least that many more topical projects come under the umbrella. It’s a massive amount of admin and Ellen is a volunteer with her own genealogical interests. If your interest lies primarily with a specific state and that state is lead by a Leader, that Leader can award the badge.

Thank you.  That is why I mentioned I knew they were busy.

Hi Eleanor,

I have just joined the U.S. Project as a co-leader and have started a new G2G join post here.  I see that you have, since posting, been awarded the U.S. Project badge.  For others interested, please answer that post if you are interested in joining the project.  Thanks!

Darlene
