How do you indicate you are guardians to individuals who by law have been deemed "Wards of the Court"?

I need to know how to explain family members who have been adopted and who have been deemed "Wards of the Court".

I have not created a profile since I do not wish to mess up pure family blood lines!

Any assistance will be appreciated.

I have a cousin who was adopted into the family and I just include her in our family tree since she is part of our family. Wee note on her profile saying she was adopted is enough:) Regarding wards of the state, becoming such doesn't change who your parents are.

Everything that doesn't "fit" into 'normal' data items can be explained in the biography section of a profile. Eg. My several greats grandmother Edna Biddle was adopted by Joe Tebo. I would create her profile. And then put in a Wiki Link to her adopted parents [[Tebo-x|Joe Tebo]]. So it would say Edna Biddle was adopted by [[Tebo-x|Joe Tebo]]. When it shows up on the profile just Joe Tebo shows and clicking on his name goes to his profile.
