On the banner to the right of the Wikitree page, go to ADD then MATCHES & MERGES.

In the two boxes include the surname followed by the profile ID. Highest into lower.

Now merge, and then following a comparison to ensure you are totally happy, propose the merge. Should you be the manager of both profiles or the profiles are open, you will be able to complete the merge by following the page instruction.

If you are not manager of both profiles the merge will await both profile managers consent, before the merge can proceed. If after 30 days, both parties have not given there consent, default approval is granted and again the merge may proceed.

The answer from Ron is the procedure but I hope that the proposed merge on the profile linked to this question is rejected because it would merge the son with the father.  Great care should be taken with any merge because it could cause extra work and even involve creating another profile if it is done wrong.  A lot of people have the same name and it is the policy to have only one profile per person not one profile per name.

As a mater of fact it appears that some other bad merges have already taken place there and it is already a mess.
I know the father and son have the same name, however there are two Williams listed as sons, I want to merge them. You are right there as been some bad mergers already that is why I deleted the sons wife as also a wife of the father. Hope to straighten this out.

Thanks
On one of the lines that I researched there was a family that had 3 different sons named John so I would still advise that you take it slow and have good sources before you procede with this merge because there has been a lot of damage done already by the bad merges and you don't want to make it worse in haste.
I am totally sure how the tree should look. Both of us got our data from the same source. I did not do that merge but cleaned up the files and other merges between both files. We only have one merge left and that is a wife. On my file I deleted all info but her name and since I can't delete that we need to merge it.

Thanks for the advice but I assure you that our line will reflect the true history of our name. It just takes time.

on a different possible match, I did not try to merge since the last entry on the other possible match does not match but the rest does. Have to try to solve this conflict first.
