Where are Close Rolls from the mid 1500s hiding?

I am chasing a number of Close Rolls: 444, 458,  456, 493, 568, 427. I am looking at Medieval source material on the internet: Chancery rolls (medievalgenealogy.org.uk) British History and  National Archives - but the data for 1500 to 1600 seems often to not be in the sequences available.

Ian, I think it is just that a lot of them haven't yet been transcribed/abstracted and published, or they have been published but are still under copyright, and not available online.

According to the Wikipedia article for Close Rolls "Those for the reign of Henry VIII (1509–47) have not been independently published, but are incorporated into the series Letters and Papers of the Reign of Henry VIII (published 1862–1932)."

Links to the volumes of the Letters and Papers Foreign and Domestic of the Reign of Henry VIII can be found in the Medieval Genealogy website

They are also all available via British History Online, which gives the years covered in each volume which is more helpful.

Thanks John! V. helpful. yes
