I have found an error on over 1,000 public family trees on Ancestry.com, that appears to have been originally incorporated into WikiTree.com. The profile for James Henderson (Sr.) b. c.1630 perhaps in Scotland, or Ireland, or Great Brittain, d. 1692 in Somerset County, Colony of Maryland, America, has been confused with the James Henderson, b. c.1630 in Fordell Castle, Fife, Scotland, the son of Sir John Henderson, the 5th Baron of Fordell (Henderson-3750). This is refuted by 2 reputable and accessible sources: Historian Jason Illari's excellent on-line historical biography of the emigrant settler James Henderson (
http://nabbhistory.salisbury.edu/settlers/profiles/henderson.html), and Thepeerage.com page for the noble James Henderson (
http://thepeerage.com/p43749.htm#i437486), showing that, according to Burke's Peerage, he never left Scotland and died almost 20-years before the emigrant James Henderson, etc. I left a request for a message board on Ancestry.com, but did not hear a response. Can you help get the word out on the correction to other Henderson clan genealogists? Thank you.
