Married to same spouse twice

+15 votes
So, I'm working on Stan Laurel, and he married Virginia Ruth Rogers from 1934 - 1937, they divorced, Stan married another woman, they divorced, and then he remarried Virginia from 1941 to 1946. Is there any way to show both marriages in WikiTree? Or do I have to just show them combined (start 1934 - end 1946) and cover the particulars in the biography? As far as I can tell, there's only 1 set of marriage details per spouse and it doesn't allow for multiple marriage dates.

I wish WikiTree had the capability to add two marriages to the same person.  It does happen, more than we might think.  I'm adding the Improvements tag to your question, so it will be seen by the developers.

Hi Scott,

I think you should do exactly as you suggested... starting date being when they first married and the end date being when they parted last, then explaining the overlapping dates relating to the other spouse.  Good call.
