Was Jonas Arfvidsson born in 1747 or 1750?

In https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0051833_00093 he is shown as being born on 15 Dec 1750 in Linneryd.

I tried checking the birth records there, but I'm struggling to read what it says. https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0024888_00030

In https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0051834_00092 it shows him being born on 2? Feb 1747 in Fröjered.

I can't seem to find him on the birth records there. https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0050285_00045

His death record shows him being 70 when he died, so that would be another source for the 1747 birth. https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0051849_00143

His parents are also shown on source, am I reading it correctly as Arfvid Nilsson and Birgita Jonsdotter?

Edit:

When updating his information on familysearch, I came across his baptism being in korsberga. I don't know how they found that connection, but I checked the birth records and he is there! https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0051201_00074

So you have different birth dates for him in Norra Fågelås AI:1 (for 1789–1812) and in the next book AI:2. Normally the older source is the better and the difference is because of a mistake in copying the older book.

But in this case we can see that AI:2 originally said something else, which has later been changed into "1747 9/2". So probably this started as a copy of the date in AI:1 before the registrar got new information. Because of that in the absence of other information I think the 1747 is more probable to be right.

You write that the death record showing him being 70 "would be another source for the 1747 birth", but it's really the same source. That age is computed by using the date in the then current AI:2. (Or maybe it was in connection with his death that the new information about birth date surfaced and it was entered at the same time in both books.)

(Then with that being said I couldn't find a birth notice for him anyway.)

As for his parents' names as given in his death record I read the mother's name as Bengta instead. I can't see if it is Jonsdotter or Jönsdotter.

Excellent reasoning as usual, Per!

I also read Bengta. As for Jonsdotter or Jönsdotter I'd say Jonsdotter since this vicar seems to have a habit of dotting most vowels. The 'ö' in "förquafd" (down to the right) has a more elaborate "seagull" flying above it.

Thank you for having a look, your reasoning makes sense. You're right, it does look a lot more like Bengta, thanks.

Responding to the update: Korsberga is one of the parishes in Fröjered pastorate (when I check). So somebody has checked the birth books for Fröjered, Korsberga and Fridene.

This is very common when people move a bit further from home, that what gets into their papers is the pastorate, not the specific parish.

Looks like you have the parents right.

I can't read the birth book handwriting.  It's challenging.  I would tend to believe the earlier source for the birthdate and place, but it could be a blend of both.  2/2/47 in Linneryd.  Can't read that one either though, same handwriting.
